Advisory Board Member

Richard serves as the Chief Financial Officer and Director of Business Development for Five States Energy Company and its affiliates, Five States Energy Capital, Five States Ventures and Fives States Realty. Collectively, the Five States entities manage over $300 million in funds focused on upstream and midstream oil and gas investments and over $100 million in funds focused on the energy and wireless sectors. Richard currently serves as a Director of ZPower, GoTV Networks and Digital Sidebar and is on the advisory board of VeraSprite. Previously, Richard founded and was the President of Taconic Partners, a Texas-based venture capital firm focused on start-up and early stage companies. Before that, he was a senior consultant with Towers Perrin, where he specialized in strategic planning and organizational development. Richard began his career as a sales engineer for Reliance Electric Company. He holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and a BBA degree in Finance from Baylor University.
